Frequently asked questions

How do I connect with someone?

Open the app and go to the Profile tab. Tap Add Connection and enter the other person's display name. They'll receive a connection request and can accept it from their Profile tab under Connections. Once accepted, you can assign tasks to each other.

How do I assign a task to someone?

When creating or editing a task, tap the Assign to field and select one of your connections. The person will receive a push notification letting them know a task has been assigned to them.

What is photo proof and how does it work?

When creating a task, you can turn on Require photo proof. When this is enabled, the person completing the task must attach a photo from their camera or photo library before they can mark it as done. If no photo is attached, the task cannot be checked off.

I'm not receiving push notifications. What should I do?

Try the following steps:

• Open your iPhone's Settings app, tap Notifications, find Taskly, and make sure notifications are turned on
• Make sure your iPhone is connected to the internet
• Close and reopen the Taskly app
• If the problem continues, delete and reinstall the app to re-register your device for notifications

Note: push notifications require a real iPhone. They do not work in the iOS Simulator.

How do I change my display name?

Go to the Profile tab, then tap Settings. Tap your name at the top to edit it. Your new name will be visible to your connections immediately.

How do I delete my account?

Go to the Profile tab, tap Settings, then scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile and all data associated with your account. This action cannot be undone.
